The Seven Deadly Sins. Do You Know Them?

It is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) observed: Avoid the seven noxious things. It was said (by the hearers): What are they, Messenger of Allah? He (S.A.W.) replied: Associating anything with Allah, magic, killing of one whom God has declared inviolate without a just cause, consuming the property of an orphan, and consuming of usury, turning back when the army advances, and slandering chaste women who are believers, but unwary. [hadith found in Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Number 161]

So let's list them again:

1. shirk

2. magic

3. murder without cause

4. stealing from an orphan

5. usury (interest)

6. running away from the battlefield

7. slandering chaste women

The Prophet (S.A.W.) warned us of seven of the worst crimes and amongst them are shirk, magic, and murder.  However, if you continue reading the list, notice the final sin the Prophet (S.A.W.) mentioned, “slandering chaste women who are believers but unwary.”  Wronging your fellow Muslim sister with words is on the same list as shirk, magic and murder!  Subhan’Allah, can you imagine standing in front of your Lord on the Day of Reckoning claiming to be a believer but having committed one of the most noxious sins on a daily basis, it’s unfathomable!  Your deeds would be distributed to those whom you wronged, whether you murdered them or slandered them.  O Muslim, please don’t gossip about one another, rather love and pray for another for we all know to whom we shall have to answer one day, to our Lord, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth.

How to be good writer

1. Write a lot every day. You may prefer to write in long or short sessions. Write a short paragraph or an entire page. See which works better for you.

2. Read all sorts of things, but really take the time to enjoy an old-fashioned book. Regular reading will influence your style, tastes, background, and ideas. It will also help expand your vocabulary and improve your grammar.

3. Buy two notebooks. One is a "Vocabulary Notebook", and the other is an "Inspirational Notebook".

4. Brainstorm before starting to write. In order to focus your writing, begin with the main idea. While thinking about what to write, put down any idea that comes to you, even if it seems far-fetched or unlikely to be successful. One not-so-good idea may lead to a better one.

5. Be specific. Avoid implying or over-generalizing; vagueness and generalizations are less likely to grab your readers’ attention. Which sentence is more interesting to read

6. Edit Your Writing Once  you have a first draft, reread it and rewrite it. You are looking for errors in grammar and spelling as well as style, content, organization, and coherence.

7. Ask someone else to read your writing. If at all possible, have a second person read your writing. Choose someone whom you trust to be forthright and frank.

            Arriving the bus at Rantau Panjang immigration office, It was the time for ending Terrangganu trip. The first step of getting off the bus, our feet step hastily in the flooding road and our clothes were wet. We hurry ran to stamp the passport and gradually got on the bus again. The bus moved us to Sungai Kolok immigration office for stamping the passport and again we were soaked. Five minutes later, the bus transferred our bag gages to another bus. While sitting on the bus, the rain pattered on the bus roof and continuously petted all the time. On the way to the university, the air conditioner and soaking clothes cause us be freeze and cold so much.

            I’m very happy about travelling to the 21 different places around the world. It only can happen in this park….Amazing.

            Taman tamadun Islam is locate in Wan Man Islam in Kuala Terengganu, and is the most significant monument park, housing 21 replicas of historical monument and mosques from all over the world. The monument here were built so detailed that they resemble almost exactly the original buildings from the original place, only the size is smaller such as Great  Mosque of Agadez in Niger, Taj Mahal in India and Nabawi Morque.

            The first step in the park makes me gasped when I saw the beautiful mosques from all around the world right before my eye! The beauty of these historical monuments of centuries of age is enough to me amaze that how people manage to built such architecture during their era, like the Taj Maha, was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahal in loving memory of his wife ‘Mumtaz Mahal, back in the 17^th century. Second. The Agadez great Mosque of Niger a weird looking structure which was made of clay. It was built in the 16^th century. Next, know as Dome of the Rock ( Kabah) was built in 692 C.E in Palestine. It enshrines the Sacred Rock and commemorates the prophet Muhammad’s ascension to heavens to visit God. The interior view of the “Dome the Rock” replica was also made to look at its original and it is only monument replica here built big enough for people to enter inside it. The familiar among all should be the Holy Masjidil Haram of Makkah, I was amaze with the similar- pattern of marble they use to built this mosque replica. I have to admit that taking the photos of all the 21 monuments were challenge but I have decided just to highlight a few interesting ones.

            The latest attraction in Terengganu seems to be the Crystal Mosque. I did not find the Mosque that beautiful as expect. The Mosque is not really built with crystal. It is said to be the first and only Mosque built from steel and glass to produce the crystal like image so many facilities for the visitors. So, I really enjoyed a photograph there. Unfortunately, it was the time to drive back to hotel and take a rest.

            For me, being here rather bring me sentimental value ponclering these great, Islamic architecture from all around the world. I hope, I will travelling literally to every to those place to see the original buildings in the future. Ameen.

                คือกระดาษใบหนึ่งซึ่งแจ้งวุฒิ

หรือคือฉุดสังคมจากคมไข้

คือการสู้เพื่อสอบเขียนตอบไป

หรืการใช้ความรู้ให้เกิดคุณ

                คือการเริงร้องกับผองเพื่อน

หรือการเตือนพวกเขาจากโลกวุ่น

                สังคมมุสลิมกำลังต้องการปัญญาชนมาเยียวยา แต่ทว่า  วันนี้สังคมของเราเต็มไปด้วยปริญญาชนที่ไม่มีแม้กระทั่งวัคซีนป้องกันตนเอง ซึ่งบางครั้งพวกเขาเหล่านั้นกลับยิ่งสร้างปัญหาให้แก่สังคมอย่างน่าหวาดกลัวที่สุด เพราะความรู้ที่เล่าเรียนมา มิได้นำมาปฏิบัติและถ่ายทอดแม้แต้น้อย แล้วสังคมจะคาดหวังสิ่งใดจากเหล่าบัณฑิตในปัจจุบัน แม้จะมีบ้างแต่ก็น้อยเต็มที่  ถึงเวลาแล้วที่เราจะเป็นแสงเทียนให้กับสังคม แม้จะดูว่าเล็กน้อย แต่เมื่อเรานำแสงสว่างไปจุดให้เทียนเล่มอื่น อิงชาอัลลอฮ สังคมของเราก็จะค่อยๆสว่างขึ้นอย่างแน่นอน

                “ความรู้คือแสงสว่างที่คอยส่องทางเดินแก่ชีวิต แต่การนำความรู้มาปฏิบัติเป็นสิ่งที่ยากเย็นยิ่งกว่าการแสวงหาความรู้”   

“เราต้องดูแลอีหม่านของตัวเองให้ดี เพราะเราต้องดูแลอีหม่านของใครอีกหลายคน”
